Setting Up Your New Voice Mailbox

It takes about 3 minutes to set up a voice mailbox on your phone number. This is done the first time you call into your mailbox. An automated operator will take you through the set-up and prompt you to press certain touch tone keys in response to her questions. Follow these steps:

  1. Call PIONEER VOICE MAIL (your prefix-1060) - please remember this number. This is the number you will dial each time you check your voice mail messages.

  2. You will be instructed to key in your temporary passcode (which is 1234) then you will be asked to change it to a personal passcode that only you will know. Your passcode may consist of four to 10 digits. Follow the automated operator's instructions.

  3. Once you have changed your passcode, you are asked to record a personal greeting. This personal greeting is played to callers when they are forwarded to your voice mailbox. Follow the automated operator's instructions. Note: Three seconds after you have stopped talking the automated operator will end the recording or you may press # to end the recording.

  4. The next step is to record your name. Your name is used as a confirmation when other subscribers send you voice mail messages. Follow the automated operator's instructions. Note: Three seconds after you have stopped talking the automated operator will end the recording or you may press # to end the recording.

  5. The automated operator will also give you a few helpful hints then instructions on how to exit the system. Hang up the phone.

IMPORTANT:
You MUST activate the Call Forwarding No Answer feature so callers will get your voice mail when your phone is not answered. This is done by picking up your phone's handset and dialing *92. You will hear three quick beeps and a dial tone, dial your prefix (which is the first three digits of your local phone number) plus 1060. When you hear a confirmation tone, 3 quick beeps, you may hang up. When this feature is active your dial tone will have a high pitch tone.
To cancel Call Forwarding, dial *93, listen for three beeps and hang up.
