Every year we look forward to connecting with our community at our Annual Meeting and Health Fair hosted jointly with Pioneer Electric; however, given the growing concerns surrounding COVID-19, the board of directors of both Pioneer Communications and Pioneer Electric made the difficult decision to postpone the Meeting to September, 10, 2020 and we will not be having a Health Fair this year.
It is incredibly important to us to prioritize the health and safety of the attendees, employees, and community as a whole. This year the Annual Meeting of the members of Pioneer Communications will be held at the Grant County Civic Center in Ulysses, KS on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020 at 6pm. Registration will begin at 4:30pm.
This years meeting will be a "drive-in" event and will be held in conjunction with Pioneer Electric Coop. Inc. Members and guests will be directed to available parking at the Civic Center and asked to remain in their vehicles. The meeting will be broadcast over FM radio; instructions will be posted at the event. Registration of members will begin at 4:30pm and will close at the start of the meeting.
Please mark Sept. 10, 2020 on your calendar and make plans to attend your cooperative's annual meeting. A complimentary boxed dinner and attendance prizes will be given to members of Pioneer Communications. Door prizes will be drawn the next day. Questions or concerns regarding the event may be directed to our office by calling 620.356.3211.
Please enter through the East parking lot entrance. (See map below for more details).
Please follow the parking directions from employees and other event workers. All vehicles will need to be parked facing West toward the Civic Center. Once parked, we ask that you remain in your vehicle for the duration of the event. Signs will be placed to notify members of which station to turn their radios to at the start of the meeting. (See map below for more details).
Representatives from both companies will walk up to your vehicle to assist you with your registration. Members will need to provide their full name and the address of service, to register for the meeting. Registered members will automatically be placed into the drawing for door prizes to be drawn the next day and winners will be notified.
A free meal will be provided to those that attend the annual meeting (while supplies last). Employees of Pioneer Communications and Pioneer Electric will deliver meals, silverware, water and dessert directly to your vehicle. Please hold onto your trash as trashcans will NOT be available at the Grant County Civic Center facilites.
Winners of door prizes will be drawn the following day at the Ulysses headquarter office and winners will be contacted to make arrangements to pick up their prize. Prizes will NOT be distributed during/after the meeting.
