What Local Means to Us

At this year’s Annual Meeting, Pioneer Communications debuted a special video featuring CEO Catherine Moyer and employees sharing what  being a local cooperative means to them.

For some, local means serving the same communities where they grew up, raised their families or built lasting friendships. For others, it means recognizing customers by name, lending a hand when it is needed and taking pride in the towns we call home.

The video offers a personal look at the people behind Pioneer Communications and the shared commitment that connects us. Although each employee has a different role and perspective, one message came through clearly: local matters.

As a member-owned cooperative, Pioneer Communications has been part of southwest Kansas for more than 75 years. Our roots are here, and so is our future. We remain committed to investing in reliable technology, providing dependable local service and helping our communities stay connected to the people and opportunities that matter most.

We were proud to share this video with our members and celebrate the employees who bring our mission to life every day. Their stories are a reminder that local is more than where we work. It is who we are.
